Job Description
Main Accountabilities:
• Update and maintain student registration sheets related to the accounts function.
• Collect and account for tuition, book and transportation fees and any other school related fees.
• Prepare and register receipts and invoices for school related fees.
• Prepare a fee collection statement and other fee/ income related reports.
• Maintain detailed record of school related fees received and outstanding per student.
• Prepare and post daily bank deposit slips cash/ cheques and ensure that deposited amounts tally with the fee collection statements.
• Follow up with parents/ companies on outstanding invoices, overdue fees and returned cheques.
• Register the non-deposited contents of the safe.
• Manage petty cash procedure.
• Register and ensure timely clearance of Post dated cheques.
• Prepare and post petty cash payments and ensure approvals are in place.
• Prepare, register and issue supplier payments ensuring proper documentation and approvals are in place.
• Ensure proper filing of accounts related documentation.
• Deal with queries related to student accounts.
• Be prepared to take on other tasks in addition to the ones stated, in a reasonable framework.
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree preferably accounts related .
3+ years as cashier/accounts clerk preferable within education sector.
Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook and Engage.
Attention to detail.
Strong communication and time management skills.
Excellent level of English and Arabic is an advantage.
